Hope all you sexy bloggers had a wonderful Valentine's Day. Mine was fair to partly cloudy LOL
A good friend, the brother of my friend who committed suicide this past June gave me flowers.
My bestest best friend in prison made me a killer Valentine's card and my brother who just got sentenced to 18 months to five years in prison for drunk driving just so happened to get sent to the same joint and signed my card too!
"Crenshaw" had her babies on Valentine's day.......she had 19 of em! One died so there are still 18 pink wiggly squeaking lil critters in her nest. Wow!
Love ya'll!

Hey Blogland! How the hell are ya?
Purple has been on an adventure recently. After feeling kinda crappy for some time I got new symptoms.......symptoms I had NEVER had before. I fainted. Twice.
The first time I was at home and caught myself on the way down on the couch. The second time I was driving! I tipped my head back to take a swig off my water bottle and as I tipped my head back everything went black and I felt just like when ya fall asleep in bed. Luckily it only lasted a split second and I came right back as I jerked my head forward. Scary!
So, it was back to the emergency room.....again.
This time my Potassium level was OK but I was dehydrated. Aint life grand! I was dehydrated WITH water retention in my hands and feet! All of this after my cardiologist put me on fluid restrictions. Hmmmmmm.........
They ran some creepy tests and found out alot of things that are NOT wrong with me: not pneumonia, no blood clot, no fluid around my heart and lungs, and no gallbladder issues.
Now I am getting more blood tests and a sleep study. Tomorrow I have another echocardiogram done. Hopefully they will provide some answers. Phew!
Crenshaw is due to have her babies this week Friday and her lil belly is HUGE! When I went to the pet store to buy the maternity cage I "accidentally" got another lil pet rat.
What? Hey, don't yell at me.......I couldn't help it, he was so cute! He is tan and white and looks similar to Einstein. and Y~E~S he is most definitely a male. He drags his lil balls behind him!
The new lil guy's name is "Nibbles" I now call them "Pepe-BIG BALLS-Le pew", "Crenshaw The Squeaker", and"Nibbles The Nut sack"
I have homes for the babies and the pet store has also said they would buy them for $1 each. Damn! I could make big bucks, eh? LMAO

Purple reached a major milestone........my heart pillow, BB (Bosom Buttress) has been retired from all activities other than sleeping with me.
Another little glitch with my foray into pet ownership. "Crenshaw" and "Pepe" were VERY busy little critters lately, chasing each other all around the cage, knocking wood shavings out onto the floor tipping over their lil cubbies and then......I caught them red-handed having sex!
So, I thought oh well, I have a couple gay rats.....whatever.
But no!
"Crenshaw" is N~O~T a male rat but a F~E~M~A~L~E!
Ya know, I thought ole "Crenshaw" had mighty small nuts. "Pepe" practically drags his behind him! The pet store sold "Crenshaw" to me as a male by the way.
Looks like babies in the future as well as alternative housing to separate the boys and girls. Jeez! I just wanted a dang pet.
Did you know female rats go into heat every other day, virtually guaranteeing pregnancy will occur?
Female rats go into heat the day after giving birth.
The books say female rats have six pups per litter on average, however, when my was younger she had pet rats and we had a population explosion when one mama rat had 20 babies and two mama rats had 22 babies!

Married in Heaven:
On their way to get married, a young Catholic couple was involved in a fatal car accident. The couple found themselves sitting outside the Pearly Gates waiting for St. Peter to process them into Heaven While waiting they began to wonder - could they possibly get married in Heaven?
When St. Peter arrived they asked him if they could get married in heaven. St. Peter said, "I don't know. This is the first time anyone has asked. Let me go find out," and he left. The couple sat and waited for an answer... for a couple of months. While they waited, they discussed the pros and cons. If they were allowed to get married in Heaven, should they get married, what with the eternal aspect of it all? "What if it doesn't work? Are we stuck in Heaven together forever?"
Another month passed. St. Peter finally returned, looking somewhat bedraggled. "Yes," he informed the couple, "You can get married in Heaven."
"Great!" said the couple. "But we were just wondering; what if things don't work out? Could we also get a divorce in Heaven?"
St. Peter, red-faced with anger, slammed his clipboard on the ground.
"What's wrong?" asked the frightened couple.
"OH, COME ON!!!" St. Peter shouted. "It took me 3 months to find a priest up here! Do you have ANY idea how long it'll take to find a lawyer???

Well, apparently I have overdone it. I think trying to work, even though I only took on four older , was more than I can handle.
I got completely exhausted and did NOT feel at all well. I was sleeping 14 hours/day and was experiencing skipped heart beats called PVC's. It got to the point I could barely stay awake for even 6 hours at a time and the skipped beats were really freaking me out.
Went straight to the emergency room.
Found out I have low Potassium again which was why I was feeling so very tired and that was also causing the heart arrhythmia's. The EKG showed I have Left Bundle Branch Block, the PVC's showed up on the monitor and I had low levels of an enzyme called Troponin which only the heart muscle makes and should be at unmeasurable amounts.
I was given more Potassium and they upped my daily dose. Told me not to worry too much regarding the Left Bundle Branch Block explaining it could be from scar tissue as I heal and my heart has found a "new" way to beat. The PVC's are skipped beats in my ventricle and "benign". The Troponin probably comes from the fact I have cardiomyopathy and I have been scheduled for another echo-cardiogram.
After keeping me most of the night they let me go home because the Troponin levels did not go up.
Hard to take it easy when I just wanna get my "normal" life back.
There will be NO smart-ass comment allowed regarding the fact I am far from normal!

I went to visit my daddy at the Nursing Home/Rehab Center where he has been since July when he broke his ankle, got 5 stents, and had an amputation of his lower leg.
He was in good spirits and we had a great visit.
The Nurse came in to transfer him from his wheelchair to his bed at one point and he turned to me and said I was in for a treat to watch that take place........
OMG!
They were like 6 feet from his bed when they put him in the lift, then they raised him like 5-6 feet in the air and there he was, hanging in a sling all scrunched up and looking like a big, old, fat (sorry dad ) baby waiting for the stork to come carry him to his destination!
I have not laughed that hard in a LONG time!
I was laughing so hard I had to leave the room and compose myself.
Don't feel too bad for daddy, he got a chuckle too and paid me back by laughing at me for the 4 trips to the bathroom in just an hour and forty-five minutes I had to make due to my Lasix dose being doubled.
OK, maybe not a return to my former "normal" life yet.......but it sure felt good to get a laugh so I will take it!
P.S. Purple got some G~O~O~D sex earlier. Hallelujah! and Amen!

Happy New Year Blogland!
Hope y'all had an exciting New Year's Eve and started out the new year with a wicked hangover.....LOL I spent my first New Year's Eve at home in over a decade. Hmmmmm.....didn't quite have that same pizazz!
Purple has been under the weather and sleeping ALOT lately so just hangin' out at home.
Being a holiday weekend I will have to wait till Monday to call the doctor. Hopefully he will come up with an answer cuz I can't be sleeping 14 hours/day and more for much longer.
So tell me, what fun/trouble did ya get into?

What a strange year it has been......I, for one, am more than ready to welcome in 2010 hoping it will bring good things.
Having been off work for 5 months I didn't do any Christmas shopping this year. Thought I was gonna miss it but ya know, I really didn't. In fact, I think I have been more appreciative of the "true" meaning of the holiday this year.
Last weekend I had to go to the pharmacy and pick up another script (endless scripts) yikes! The store was SO busy and people were in such a hurry and downright rude! I was actually physically bumped more than once and nearly knocked to the ground at one point. I vowed then and there NOT to enter a store again until AFTER Christmas.
"Licorice" had a seizure and died this past weekend.
"Schitzo" was re-named "Pepe Le Pew" due to some rather interesting bodily function odors. He has gotten a bit friendlier though.
"Einstein" who I often call "Einy" should now be referred to as "Heiny" as I have never seen such a small critter expel so much waste from it's body!
Hope your enjoying this last week before Christmas and get everything done that you have to.
What is your fave Christmas decoration you put out?
Pic is "Einy and my .

I just received my medical records after someone on the support group website I joined suggested I request them. I had complained that I don't feel like my doctors keep me as informed as I want them to.
What a surprise!
My records were FULL of information I knew nothing about. Important things that I can NOT imagine not neing told about.
Ater my valve replacement surgery my sternum was closed with the usual wires AND "several" plates. How many is several? What are the plates made of? Is there information on longterm effects?
I looked it up online and there was sparse information, saw a few pictures of several different types. They are purported to help with sternal stability in repeat sternotomy patients and this was my second. Why in the heck wouldn't they tell me about this? I am definitely making a call Monday morning to get the scoop.
Then I read that I had acute postoperative anemia, left bundle branch block, high degree AV block, atrial fibrillation, sinus tach, second degree AV block Mobitz type 2, and 8 episodes of non-sustained V-Tach.
I was told NONE of this.......guess that explains why the nurses freaked out on a few occasions and why the electrophysiologist made so many visits to me prior to determining I needed a pacemaker.
Sheesh!
They made me look like a bit of an idiot when my cardiologist was explaining that they could see how many episodes of A-Fib I had after reading my pacemaker and I said "What is A-Fib?" I had only been told about ONE type of heart block and that was complete heart block which is why they said I needed the pacemaker.
I am so angry I could spit nails! My mother said "maybe they didn't tell you so you wouldn't freak out". I still think they should have told me at least when I was discharged and they had resolved most everything.
Don't get me wrong, I think my surgeon/doctors were fantastic brilliant people who took excellent care of me and saved my life. That said, however, I think they NEED to be more informative.
How can something like this even happen?

My best friend and I went out to the strip club last night. First time we got there since March. It felt so fantastic-ly "normal" to go out for the night.
We had alot of fresh meat to check out as there were three new dancers. "Latin Lover", "Hammer", and "Obie". Even the waiters were new. I thought "Ty" was a cutie despite being SO young.
One of the old faithful strippers we have seen MANY a time snatched my camera from the table and took OUR picture. LOL It turned out really good too. I have it on this post. Guess turnabout is fair play, eh? Over the years I have filled up quite a few albums with strip bar pics.
It's actually my best friend who enjoys the strippers so much ...... she just drags me with her kicking and screaming ....... that's my story and I'm sticking to it!
What would your stripper name be?

Thanks for the suggestions for my mentally unbalanced pet rat......y'all were as creative as I thought you would be. He is now and ever more shall be called "Schitzo".
Both "Schitzo" and "Licorice" apparently HATE me. They want not one thing to do with me and when I try and interact with them they bite me!
I am guessing they didn't get the memo that rats don't bite and nip like hamsters and gerbils are prone to doing, eh?
"Einstein" has proven that he is indeed the intelligent one. He loves me. He eats lil treats from my hands, comes to me when I call his name and most importantly.......does NOT bite!
I went back to work this week.
My doctors didn't release me to go back to work yet, but I really had no choice. All the money in the bank is gone now after four months off from work.
I hired an assistant for the days I attend Cardiac Rehab so I can finish the program then hopefully get re-evaluated and released for work.
Found out some more tidbits regarding my health. Three months AFTER I got my pacemaker which they downplayed quite a bit, I found out exactly what my condition was called......Complete heart block 3rd degree AV nodal block.
Complete heart block 3rd degree AV nodal block is a serious, life threatening condition. ALWAYS requires a pacemaker. Also found out I have cardiomyopathy which lead to the low ejection fraction percentage and is becoming congestive heart failure.
My doctors were not completely up front and blunt with me. I need to have a heart to heart (no pun intended) with them at my next visit.
Trying to be proactive about my care. Have been having more issues with water and electrolyte imbalances. It's disheartening sometimes because I try so hard with my diet, exercise, and medication regime.
Live each day to the fullest and enjoy it to the max!
