Just spotted word that one of our number has passed on. Enigma517.
To be honest I hadn't spotted his postings before but a brief search of the archives shows we've lost a great guy.

Here's to you Enigma517. Rest in Peace

I've just been checking to see if frogger has added to her blog, her life being far more fascinating than my own. Yum.

Just noticed that the only folk who visit my blog are men......this trend has been going on for weeks. I'm not sure why this is.

Do some guys, (Myself included), subconsciously emit pheromones that attract other men or an aura like a Kebab house on saturday night?

In the background I have a certain online music provider streaming the classic track from The Orb, Little fluffy clouds......after that I've got Teardrop from Massive Attack.
I've been sat here listening to music for nearly two hours.
I started with Buggles "Video Killed the radio star", worked my way through a stack of other one-hit wonders then made for classic trance and some Hardhouse.
I think the measure of almost any man or woman is the music they listen to.
If you're wondering who my favourite artist is then it's very hard to say. The BK track entitled "Revolution" is a firm favourite but I enjoy proper singing from the likes of Chet Baker just as much. If you're interested I think a superb track from him is "The Thrill is Gone" or "Not for Me".
Now I'm rambling John Peel style....I'd better shut up and get back to N.....ster

Happy New Year

Wow, New Year again, only seems like 5 minutes since the last one......which I can't remember so it must have been a good one.

Every day this week I have been woken up at the crack of dawn, (11am ish.....holidays, love em!), by someone pressing my doorbell. Not sure who it was today but my neighbour said she had been woken up the same way today. When she answered the door she found noone there but her offside car wing mirror broken on the doorstep.
I'm glad my car was tucked away in the garage.

Possible suspects are the who got a 30mph monkey bike for christmas. The like to ride up and down at top speed on the pavement grabbing things as they pass.

On another subject, I see that there is a Scottish pub that has a 36hr licence to stay open selling alcohol over the new year period. Bad idea??? I think so.

It's as if she knows I have nowhere special to go. My little car has broken down. I'm persuing my usual repair strategy. Replace bits until she starts working again.
Unfortunately this time it appears to be the starter motor. On many cars the starter motor is easy to get at....not on my car. Half the electrics and air ducts need to be removed before I can even think about it.
Scuffed fingers and aching back here I come.

On the plus side, she did break down in my garage instead of on the road somewhere remote.

Well good old Christmas is upon us again and the company of wolves and flaming martars that are my family are readily spreading stress and misery.
Enough said.

I'm tucking into things that are full of sugar and thinking of my dentist. Here's hoping for a festive season without tooth ache.

Reasons to enjoy Christmas:

(1) Obscene lyrics to popular carols in church.
(2) Good weather for cycling
(3) Girls in tacky festive costume
(4) Single malt whisky
(5) Bourbon
(6) Polish Vodka
(7) Jack Daniels

Well its been a long week.

Walking through town today I saw a sight to warm the cockles of my heart.
Three young fashionably dressed women were walking ahead of me. One of the three clearly had a fine figure and an arse to die for. The lady in question was wearing a pair of baggy jeans that badly needed a belt and equally baggy pink knickers.
I found I was mesmerised by the sight of her butt cleavage as she walked. The three decided to cross the street and it was at that point that both her trousers decided to fall down, taking her knickers with em. Rosy cheeks exposed for all the world to see. Magic

Hello again.
Well I've just been scanning through a fwe other blogs and noticed how many of them seem to be just about what ever new toy folks have got.
Hmmm.
Well Christmas is coming and commuting's getting bad......so I got a new toy. A GPS navigation thimgemy for the car or bicycle.
It should help my love life because I'm going to be temping next year and this should help me find more interviews and offices of single women than my map reading skills ever did.
If I take a wrong turn at least I'll know where I am and stand a chance of reaching miss right.
cost £200 but I think it will be worth it.

Now this might sound like the wrong attitude.....surely we work to live and not find love? But since most of us spend our lives working it makes sense to have as much fun as possible.

At last I'm starting to feel well again after a week or so of choking and coughing with the cold.

Peace.

I'd like to tell you all about something filthy that happened in the week but to be honest nothing did and I felt too unwell.
The "high" point was yesterday. I was driving towards my garage in the little lane that runs behind my house. Better to park in the garage at night if only to avoid cleaning it so often.
The lane is frequented by prostitutes and drug dealers so I wasn't surprised to see the local police transit appear behind me.
I thought the fact that I was trying to drive into the garage might have been a clue that I wasn't with a but the cop still decided to open my car door and ask me what I was doing.
Had to bite that tongue.
"My car, my garage!"
I pointed at the open door.

Shame he's never there when the pimps in their BMW's pull-up outside my garage and block my exit.

Cold winds will blow and we shall have snow.....

Regards to all you folk in blogland.
I hope you are all cold/flu free at the moment.
I have the miserable start of a cold, I'm feeling raw.
The weather report states that we shall have snow by the weekend. Not what I want to hear.

On the plus side I have just started fostering three cats:
A nice black and white adult female, her who is tabby and white and her who is big and jet black.
The jet black cat is the most friendly and he's very big....like a panther.

One of my other four cats did a dirty protest on the living room rug whilst I wasn't looking.

OK, inspired by the blogs of others that I've read.....

Things to be happy about:

I'm alive and healthy, (Cold aside)
Revels and other forms of sweets n chocolate.
Cats,(Not the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical)
Food and drinks in all their forms
Ginger cake

Plum Brandy and the big freeze......

Well the weather in good old blighty has turned decidedly frosty. I guess its here to stay for the next six months.
It's not so bad but the cold weather does sort the men from the boys when it comes to cycling. The hard men are still stubbornly dashing around in next to nothing. Personally I'd like to.......but I've never been comfortable with the concept of frostbite. I'm wearing as much as possible.
Put some clothes on lads........and the same goes for ladies dressed for clubbing in next to nothing when there's ice, snow and a chill wind. Why why why? Wear a coat for standing in ques for the clubs. OK rant over......starting to sound old and mature which is never good.

My evening looks to be distinctly unsexy.
I've got a nice new text book to read and a glass of Polish plumb brandy. I'm s'posed to be learning about Catia... ho hum

Half way up the stairs is a place where I sit.......

Half way up the stairs is a place where I sit.....
and wonder why I didn't but enough carpet to go all the way down the stairs whilst my local shop had stock of the correct colour.
Last week I decided to buy an offcut of carpet which was more than enough to cover my landing. At the time I knew there wouldn't be enough to go all the way down the stairs but the shop had stock of carpet and I thought that I'd be able to get more this week to complete the job.
Rats....

Back at university when they made me study statistics I never believed I'd ever find them either useful or interesting. I was wrong of course and with a cruel twist of fate my life and career force me to study statistics of one kind or another every day. Hmmm.
Ok the reason I start like this is because I've been watching the stats on my blog, who reads, male vs female. Alarmingly few women.
As with all statistics there's probably a reason and if I knew what it was I'd no doubt lose sleep worrying about it.
Then again, what's that old saying;
"There's lies, damn lies and statistics!"
