The weather has been absolutely superb here in Wolverhampton UK today. My wife and I attended a local swingers' club in a local area known as Darlaston. The club is only a short bus ride away, allowing us to return in time for the school run. Since it has been sunny we spent our time moving between the club's hot tub and the roof top sun bathing area. Bliss. The heat and sunshine felt good.

Writing science fiction and erotica

It has been many years since I initially joined this site. It worked for me because that is how I met my wife. One of the things that I used to enjoy doing, was to publish erotica. This was how I met my wife. These days I still write stories, but I publish through kindle and create space. I have high hopes, perhaps one day the royalties will pay for a coffee in a roadside cafe.

Ahh well I'm off to look at advertising options wth the website that reminds me of rain forests.

It has been nearly two years since we last watched rubbish TV with adverts. We love Netflix. Life without adverts for dating sites for prats. Life without insurance adverts and all that is irritating. Life without that is good.
Currently watching The Vampire Diaries. Not rubbish like Twilight

Just a quick hello to anyone voting in the US elections.
I am watching the CNN coverage with interest.

I'm rooting for Obama because I believe the states need a better healthcare system.
I'm rooting for Obama because I believe Romney does not have the best interests of the American people at his heart.

Battle of the trash cans

So the crazy one next door likes to place her trash cans on the pavement, (Sidewalk), close to my motorhome so that everyone walking past is forced to push past or walk in the road. For some days I battled with the her, asking her to place them more considerately on her property and sometimes just moving them into their correct place off the pavement myself. In one day I moved them seventeen times. And every time she moved them back, even through the night.....within minutes. Now technically I'm legally correct in doing what I do. Protecting my property and the lives of everyone who has a right to use the pavement unhindered by her trash. She responds by screaming abuse still, attacking my vehicle with rotting kitchen waste and using a whistle to torment my dog. I was going to continue messing with her trash all week until last night.
I heard drunks stumbling past the house and looked out to see some guys actually pissing into her trash. I think I might just leave that particular item to them.

The Crazy woman next door strikes again......

Well since my last post it's been interesting.
We've taken quite a few holidays in our Winnebago. One particularly nice one was staying the night at a country pub in a place called Buttington. (Seriously!) Surrounded by countryside and hills it sits next to a farm with some goats, cows and lots of kittens. Best of all, we were essentially camping with electricity in the pub beer garden. The slept and we were able to enjoy a pint and some food from the pub. The perfect way to have a night out without the travel issues.

Back home, the crazy woman next door has been kicking off with her tantrums more and more. We made a complaint of antisocial behavior to the council who duly paid her a visit. The neighbor told them that she wasn't going to stop her behaviour and would continue to be vile and rude, especially if she could get the attention of our . The council suggested that we simply report it all to the police as threatening behaviour because that was what they had done already on our behalf. The next call to the police resulted in a visit from the police and the community support officers. All declared her mad and started the process of getting her assessed mentally with a view to getting her forcibly treated.
The evidence they are looking at is:

The stockpiles of festering rubbish she keeps in her house and back yard.

Daily yelling of obscenities.

She called the police to complain that my had stuck their tongues out at her. They didn't but if they had...seriously, wasting police time anyone?

She called the police out to complain that my wife and I were thinking bad things about her and swearing at her in our heads. Not saying or doing anything, jut thinking. Hmmmm again wasting police time.

She complains that the barking makes her drop herbs all over her own kitchen. Hmmm this coming from the woman who only eats takeaway pizza and stores the boxes in her yard to head height.

She complains that I clean my yard and garden.

She complains that I washed my van and dripped soapy water onto the road.

Ahhhh the list goes on......

Hmmm another night of screaming and ranting from our crazy neighbour. I'm quietly working in the van and she is running up and down the road telling everyone that I stole her slop bucket. Silly woman did preface this by telling everyone that she was doing her utmost to get us to move. Why.......? Well I'm just going to let her stew in her juices. With any luck one of the neighbours will report her for breach of the peace. I hope she tries to steal our actual slop bucket as part of her crazy delusion. It's half chewed by the and covered in rotting vegetation. I challenge her to find all the bits in the garden.
As I type this she is screaming at us that we are all whores and fornicators. She also makes the point of including our three in that insult......Then screams "copulators!!!!".
Aghhhh I guess a trip to the council offices is in order when I can find the time. I will not have my family insulted and I will not be harassed until I move.

the small house movement....I need my place only to be big enough to live

Minimum size standards of houses in the USA...... I'm reading a very interesting book called The Small House Book. It's about building very small houses in the USA, usually houses on trailers. According to the author it is often illegal to build a very small house in the USA, thus for new builds at least, a standard size of dwelling is built that exceeds the needs of the people trying to buy them. Clearly if the US build smaller houses then the cost of building and running a house would be lower. In the rest of the world we just build in the space we have and there is no minimum size.

Winnebago brown waste tanks cleaning

Straight to the point. As regular readers will know, my wife and I have a Winnebago motor home. It's elderly and the brown waste tank needed to be replaced. Well to cut a long story short, I purchased a small tank and plumbed everything in. All is well but the tank rather suffers from being fixed to the vehicle. With a cassette toilet or portable toilet, it's easy to pour the solids out and shake any large lumps free. The fixed tank however, needs to be emptied into a smaller tank and then into the standard camp disposal unit. So to break up the lumps I have marbles in the tank to break things up and put a bag of ice cubes just before any clear out.

Other than the minor issue of cleaning out the tanks I can report that owning a Winnebago is cool. Cool to own a thing that sleeps the whole family without anyone having to sleep with the dog. Cool to own a thing that's so old that people show it to their as part of their education.

On holiday in spite of the weather.

Well here in the UK we had a few weeks of nice hot weather and then ever since we have had torrential rain. I'm not complaining though. All that water falling on this green and pleasant land will ensure that we avoid a hosepipe ban. It also makes sure that the crops do well and water sports are more fun.
Recently we took the Winnebago to Wales, we camped overnight at Bala lake. As you can imagine, the camp site has the full range of facilities and sits on the shore of the largest natural lake in Wales. Something like that anyway...... very pretty and wonderful. I relaxed to much it was all I could do to let the drag me through the country for his walks.

Today it's piddling down and there are no signs of it stopping. The Isle of Wight....usually sunny and wonderful, has suffered torrential rain that has ruined a music festival. Guess we might head north then. It doesn't matter if it's raining. The stove works and the roof leaks less lately. The world looks great through a misty window fogged with the smell of a sunday roast and a batch of cakes.

I had a fall last night. One minute I was hurrying into the lounge, the next I was skidding on the pine effect floor, falling and smacking my head into the wall. The end result is that I have a two inch gash on my head that's held together with medical glue.

Well we took the plunge and bought the winnebago. It has just been tested for the UK MOT and failed. Now has a long list of issues to correct. I haven't seen the list, but come next week I'll travel the 180 miles to the garage and see what can be done. Should all be worth it eventually. Last week the previous owner, a carpenter and I spent a day re-installing a lounge and a triple bunk bed. I also purchased an american gas cooker to go in it.
