I Will Follow

I don't mind spending my time down below,
Hell, I’ve been there so many times before,
but if you've ever been with a girl then
you will know, it can be a challenge also ,
especially if you're willing to go the distance,
doing your best trying to finish that dance,
trying to gauge your breathing so as to not lose
the rhythm; or sometimes the hair tickles your nose.
I don't know if this happens to other guys,
but sometimes fluid starts gathering
in the mouth,whether from her vagina
or maybe , could be it's just saliva,
and I'm not always wanting to swallow,
but if she does I guess I'll follow!

It just occurred to me today that despite all the good songs they have made, I really don't like R.E.M.

I have listened to them a lot and despite my love of rock (or other great music) I just can't listen to any of their songs.

There are other groups you would have thought I had heard too often (YES, Supertramp, Dave Matthews Band); but no matter how often I hear them, that love is still there.

Took me a while to appreciate Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Marley, but it soon happened. It's not happening with R.E.M.

50-50

"I’m all alone in this world," she said,
"Ain’t got nobody to share my bed,
Ain’t got nobody to hold my hand—
The truth of the matter’s
I ain’t got no man."

Big Boy opened his mouth and said,
"Trouble with you is
You ain’t got no head!
If you had a head and used your mind
You could have me with you
All the time."

She answered, "Babe, what must I do?"

He said, "Share your bed—
And your money, too."

Acquainted with the Night
I have been one acquainted with the night.
I have walked out in rain—and back in rain.
I have outwalked the furthest city light.

I have looked down the saddest city lane.
I have passed by the watchman on his beat
And dropped my eyes, unwilling to explain.

I have stood still and stopped the sound of feet
When far away an interrupted cry
Came over houses from another street,

But not to call me back or say good-bye;
And further still at an unearthly height,
One luminary clock against the sky

Proclaimed the time was neither wrong nor right
I have been one acquainted with the night.

It's Been A While...

It’s been a while since I got serious. Don’t get all nervous; it’s just once in a while!

Everybody has their right to an opinion, and, having said that, I guess it will be wrong for me to call this woman (I think the program is “The View” on television) an idiot, or for calling anybody who shares her opinion an idiot.

However, it is an idiotic statement, in my view, to claim that the teacher who got into a rumble with a student who was pushing drugs was wrong. To be honest, I don’t want my to even be sharing a classroom with from a questionable background much less a dope pusher. I have to be on the side of that teacher.

This fool said she was speaking as a concerned parent. Too often in this society we have much to many people who speak as a concerned citizen on the behalf of the criminals and wrong-doers.

Is it any wonder that the being killed so often these days (especially in New York) are usually the good ?

Now I suppose she’s going to go on a rant about how wrong this vice-principal was to tackle the 16-y.o. suspect in Pennsylvania who was stabbing the other students.

Now That Winter's Gone...

After the Winter

Some day, when trees have shed their leaves
And against the morning's white
The shivering birds beneath the eaves
Have sheltered for the night,
We'll turn our faces southward, love,
Toward the summer isle
Where bamboos spire to shafted grove
And wide-mouthed orchids smile.

And we will seek the quiet hill
Where towers the cotton tree,
And leaps the laughing crystal rill,
And works the droning bee.
And we will build a cottage there
Beside an open glade,
With black-ribbed blue-bells blowing near,
And ferns that never fade.

A Fairy's Song...

Here's one frrom Shakespeare, finally:
A Fairy Song

Over hill, over dale,
Thorough bush, thorough brier,
Over park, over pale,
Thorough flood, thorough fire!
I do wander everywhere,
Swifter than the moon's sphere;
And I serve the Fairy Queen,
To dew her orbs upon the green;
The cowslips tall her pensioners be;
In their gold coats spots you see;
Those be rubies, fairy favours;
In those freckles live their savours;
I must go seek some dewdrops here,
And hang a pearl in every cowslip's ear.

One Whole Month...

Over a month ago when I decided I was going to do a whole month of poetry in honor of Shakespeare 450th, and also realized it was also poetry month, I realized that not a lot of people would care too much for this. But then I said to myself, "Do you keep this post for watchers and comments, or do you do this for the pleasure of writing?"

This was what I meant by whether or not I could follow through all the way!

Well, I find that I'm having fun doing this and, having lasted this long, I'm now sure I can go all the way. I'm having fun.

I also realize I should maybe add some commentary with a few of these but work has become more hectic which means less time to do everything. Anyway, it should be just one step at a time with this.

My appreciation to all those who have taken the time to read these. Hang in there; you only have 22 more days to go!

Your Secret Garden

When you smile the way you smile
my skies change from gray to blue,
because deep inside my heart it knows
how much I long for you.
Gently enfolding, softly entwining,
we join as your lips I kiss,
magically floating upon a cloud
as I enjoy this magical bliss.

My dreams they become reality
and I try to hold back the rush
of blood that seeks to engulf my head
as your cheeks my hand they brush.
To enter into your secret world
great pleasure I seek to know
and once inside your secret garden
this love can slowly grow.

It is here in this scented world
where most men dream of being
(pushing, feeling, sometimes teasing,
tasting but never really seeing)
where senses flee and reason is lost
as emotions they take over
reaching that peak and losing one’s self
new pathways to joy we discover.

Believe it or not, this is a poem...
You Fit Into Me

You fit into me
like a hook into an eye;

a fish hook..,
an open eye...

When You Are Old...

When You Are Old

When you are old and gray and full of sleep,
and nodding by the fire, take down this book,
and slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;

how many loved your moments of glad grace,
and loved your beauty with love false or true,
but one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
and loved the sorrows of your changing face;

and bending down beside the glowing bars,
murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled
and paced upon the mountains overhead
and hid his face amid a crowd of stars.

When I lived in New York and had just started boosting my CD collection I would hear songs on the radio and go around trying to find out who the group or singers were.

I was still an internet novice then.

I used to hear people like Bruce Springsteen or The Who, or even Pink Floyd on the radio, and they sounded wicked (that means “awesome” in my way of speaking); then I would go out and get the CD and play it at home and I just couldn’t feel it.

I always wondered how the radio DJ would get so worked up about Springsteen or Dylan yet when I put them in my player they sounded so ‘so-so’.

Of course, as I’ve said before, I used to buy CD’s, listened them for a few days and then they get parked. Never to be played again. I’ve since come to the decision that with hundreds of CDs I don’t need to buy another.

But I do have to comment on this. Some years ago, before I left New York, I heard a song from the CD “Masked and Anonymous” on the radio, and the DJ was going off about what a great CD it was. Naturally, I went out and bought it. Played it once and cursed myself for wasting my money.

Cut to now, 10 years later; I hear this song on my IPod for the first time and I’m wondering who the hell is this? I checked, and it’s from “Masked and Anonymous.”

I’m just realizing that though written by Bob Dylan, the songs are actually interpreted by someone else. Well, that’s what driving in New York was like during rush-hour traffic: You’re hearing the music, but you’re not listening.

That’s my story; I’m stuck with it!

Hark! the hours are softly calling
Bidding Spring arise
To listen to the rain-drops falling
From the cloudy skies
To listen to Earth's weary voices
Louder every day
Bidding her no longer linger
On her charm'd way
But hasten to her task of beauty
Scarcely yet begun.
