 Covid is lonely. But you haven't seen it from the medical standpoint, through my eyes. I see people everyday who come to see me, laughing, joking around, and trying not to show fear. You can see it in their eyes, the way they don't make eye contact or stare directly into mine, hoping for a good answer and good prognosis. Time and time again I see them struggle with decisions that affect their lives. What you don't see is the loneliness that I take home with me. Knowing that this person will not do well, may not survive. Covid is lonely, and not just for the suffers.

My empathy is with you, I'm so grateful for what you do and so mad that you still are having to. My best friend just cries after shift, it's breaking her completely. I wish the world had not gone mad. I wish so much better for you and I'm so sorry.
