When my back starts acting up I usually reach for an over the counter pain reliever and get out the heating pad. I've tried the chiropractor route, only to be in more pain after a visit to his office then I had when I went in. So, I stopped seeing the fellow. As for massage therapists? Well the only type of massage you can get in this town, usually comes with a "Happy Ending" Trust me when I'm in pain that's the last thing I'm thinking about. As for how I hurt my back? I can't really point to any one occasion. After an adult life time of doing what I do for a living it is just a case of doing too much for too long. Feel better Dear!

I've never had any serious back problems... yet. But I can get neck pains from time to time by "twisting" the wrong way or too fast . .

For me I have three discs that give me problems in my lower back. When was 25 was too young for surgery. Then couple years ago had another x-ray now too old. Rheumatoid arthritis moved in. When it flares up usually a pain or no feeling down my right leg. So I just be careful how I lift turn and make sure have both feet square on the ground before sneezing or coughing. Sneezed one time and was off work for 3 weeks. Also have to readjust the gotch and pants so no pressure on the discs.

Sorry to hear this Joy! I do love to give non, and sexual, massages and have been told I'm quite good at it I go the prevention route after suffering for many years with lower back pain. 1) 800mg Ibuprofen a few hours before strenuous activity. 2) Stretching of the Hamstrings many times a day. 3) Regular Chiropractor visits. 4) Knowing your limits! Have the Curling Club get a Shop Vac for each level or they might lose you...

Has anyone had back surgery? Nope, I avoid the knife. How did you hurt your back? Racing incident Do you see Massage Therapists or a Chiropractor? Occasionally Do you know how to give a healing massage, sexual or non and do you like too? Yes to all, would you like a . . . hand job? When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

Hi Joy I would love to give you a back massage you sound like you need one soon! I used to have a lot of back problems because of lifting things that I should have had help with when I was in my 40's. I just stopped doing that and it got better without going to doctor. When you lift things use your legs not your back. Keep back straight and bend legs. I know this is easy to say but many don't lol. But to help you, you must be naked! Oh yeah I will be naked too. I would but my hands on your butt and massage up to you back with my warm hands with some oil to slide better I know you would enjoy my magic fingers on your back Joy! Butch

I used to go to Chiropractors but had to stop. I have Stenosis which is narrowing of the spinal cord opening and of the outlets for the nerve roots from Calcium build-up. The manipulation would break pieces off and cause more pain. Have had two back surgeries, both lower back. The first was when I could no longer be sure where my feet were. They went in and removed the calcium build-up pressing on my nerve roots from three of the spaces between vertebra. Such relief from pain. The second was for a ruptured disc. Removed it and did a fusion. Again such pain relief. Was eight years ago and still doing well. I still have back and neck stenosis with problems but not usually much pain if I do my exercises and do not get rowdy. Was caused by a combo of genetic predisposition and a history of overlifting from an early are. (Farm background) For me surgery was the only option and it was very successful. Still for muscle kinks massage does wonders. Love giving and receiving it. Hope your back settles down quickly and you get to have those magic hands roam over your back and ass soon. If you see me in the real world, come say "Hi Justskin." I always behave. Preferably not well.

One of my sisters is a yoga instructor so I try to be diligent about doing my stretches to keep my back from hurting in the first place (prevention is always easier than remedying). When that fails I do a short course of physical therapy, last time it was about 3 weeks, and I'm good as new. I also take a couple of ibuprofen twice a day.

Sounds like you need a happy ending as much as a massage I have a trick back that goes when I'm bent over, like working on a car. The only thing that works is icey hot, heating pad and laying down until I can straighten up again. Standards are people too.....kinda

I have suffered from recurrent back pain since I slipped a disc in my early twenties. It was caused by me taking my jeans off too quickly, I kid you not 😁. Come visit my blog mike19619999 to find out more about what makes me tick. I don't bite- unless you want me to.

Does your back still bother you hun? Only if I sleep in a "wrong" position. I drove in an off road race a few years back and it didn't bother me at all. When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

ow. so sorry for you. when my back goes out, it takes a good two days of limited movement before I dare try anything. I once blew it out b sneezing. then I can go months and it's fine. acupuncture helps me a lot. You cannot conceive the many without the one.

Wife gets injections every so often in her back... bulging disks, slight tear in one, pinched nerve...refuses and surgery and I agree. .I usually just put up with the pains in my back and when they hurt, I sit back and relax. I have had massage therapy and have another prescription on the fridge now....I will never go to a chiropractor. I was told once you have back pains, you'll always have them, even after a surgery....I believe it!

Massage oils, lotions and potions were always part of my overnight bag, on my high dating days, long ago. I believe I give good massages. The purring of the woman under my hands usualy let's me know I am hitting the spot. I love them too. Warm hands is half the secret here. Sending my pilot at your local airport, see you soon! Goes to put hands in oven.

Spondyloishesis is the condition that was affecting my back at L5, S1; this particular joint is a common problem for many people. Spondylolishesis is an offset spine; one vertebra offset from another vertebra, this condition can be congenital, from an injury over use of the joint, age related, stress fracture, worn disc, worn joint, infection or arthritis. The spine can separate in with this condition. The Spondyloshesis condition I was dealing with may have been congenital; some people live their whole life with this condition and have no problems, although this condition may have developed from the career that involved heavy lifting. In the year 2000 I partially tore a lumbar disc, at work, and was taken care by the company’s insurance. The last doctor I saw said”Your spine sits wrong on the Sacrum.” Other than a hip discomfort that my personal physician attributed to arthritis; I did not experience any back problems. That hip pain was due to the offset spine; for 14 years that doc was wearing horse blinders! Although the same hip, leg sciatic, pain can be attributed to the Sciatic nerve entrapment by the Piriformis muscle. Sometimes I wear blinders too. Yikes! After a few years of being retired I took a job with a national dollar store chain and worked there for almost 5 years. About eight months before I had to stop working I did a bad jerking lift of an item that was heavy, the kind of lift I never do, I was pissed about something, a month later I was off work after receiving two sets of two Epidural steroid injections, one each side of the L5, S1 joint per visit. After taking one month off from the dollar store I returned to working without much back discomfort. I wore a back brace when doing any kind of heavy lifting and was very careful with the lifts. Until I was working at one of the other stores in the district and did another type of lift that ended my working, which was September 19, 2015. I spent two weeks crawling on the floor, I could not stand the pain of walking, and many days lying on the floor with my feet up on a chair do I could sleep. Another round of two sets of two Epidural shots helped with some to the pain, plus 3 different meds for pain management helped a bit but my nights were spent in a yoga turtle form on the floor and a cane for short distance walks. Amigo handicap carts were the only way I could handle a store visit. February 1, 2016 the L5, S1 fusion surgery was done in about 2 hours. I wore a “thoraco-lumbar sacral orthosis brace” until May 10, 2016. Six weeks of physical therapy after losing the brace and I still do the movements I was taught at the therapy center. I walk a few times a week and some light jogging. I am back in the weight gym working a lot lighter now. Also some careful martial art work too. When the chiropractor seen the x-rays of my spine, before surgery, he said “We can’t touch you” The physical therapist told me “don’t let a massage therapist press on that surgery area.” With the 2000 injury I could not bend over because of the sciatic pain shooting down my left leg. With the last spine injury I could not straighten my body at the hips because of sciatic pain shooting down my right leg. Inside of me there is a high priced metal and a piece of cadaver bone. From now on any strange behaviors are to be blamed on the cadaver influence.
