I love classic cars. I'm not much of a mechanic so fixing them is not my thing, but I do admire them. I'm fond of the Chevy Bel Air. My dad own a 56 until it got stolen and trashed. The next car I really remember was my dad's 73 Dodge Dart Custom. That was a cool car.

Yeah. My dad was all broken up about the Chevy. I was a kid at the time and it was the first time I ever saw anyone go through the stages of grief. LOL

I don't blame you. Insurance company was just trying avoid fixing a classic. Crooks.

Sorry about the late reply...you somehow ended up on the third page of my watched bloggers!
I had to stop driving last year because of nerve damage to my feet. I thought I'd miss driving but I was okay really.
I've got three nephews who are trained car mechanics.

WOW. So many great experiences. Got my license on a 1957 Pontiac Chieftan sedan - really quick until I wrecked it, parents weren't real happy. Next "cool" car was my first second car - a 10 year old Ford Falcon station wagon (1960 model) nothing special just a lot of fun and didn't have to worry about the next dent so I used it as a farm vehicle as well as a commute car. Next was 1 1972 Pontiac LeMans - my last Pontiac and as quick as the 1957 one. Then the 1995 Subaru SVX - nice car at 70 mph on the interstate, great car at 100+ mph on the secondary roads. Now that I'm older I loved the Camry hybrid.
