Broadcasters: The Biggest Improvement Ev-ahh By far the biggest complaint I get around here is, "Why don't you fix what's broken before adding a new feature." That is usually quickly followed with some sort of insult about my the size of my brain, my manhood, or both. Only one of those insults is justified btw. So, it's with great happiness that I announce this fix. We've switched the software we use to manage how you view broadcasts. Basically it boils down to this: - Before the fix 200 viewers could watch your broadcast before problems started happening. - After the fix 2,500 viewers can view your broadcast before we start putting viewers onto other servers. As a viewer you should notice huge improvements. As a broadcaster, you should notice less, "Where did you go?" comments. Here's a handy guide to what's changed for those of you who want a more technical answer.  PS - My brain is small, not my manhood. I could fight a bear naked and win. See, small brain. |

And since we're on the subject of webcams... I just realized that when I'm on cam and a member pages me something utterly rude or illegal in most states, and I ban him (sorry, it usually *is* a him) from his page, that only affects my ability to see him in chat or receive pages from him, NOT his ability to see my webcam. So, as I understand it, he's still watching, still possibly paging me with suggestions that are anatomical impossibilities, and I'm simply blind to it all. Better for my blood pressure, but not ideal. I'm currently going though my list and, member by blocked member, updating it - do you have any idea what a pain in the arse this is? (Rhetorical question) For each member, I have to check the box under the 'ban from my webcam' column, hit update, hit 'yes I'm sure' on the pop-up, and wait for the page to reload - at which point it dumps me back at the top of the list. I scroll down and repeat the process. One stop shopping would be such a handy thing here! Either the ability to ban members from their pages, or the ability to select multiple members on my 'blocked member' list and ban 'em all at oncit. I'd prefer the first, btw.  ta

Well Ionlyshow made it to 1132 viewers till she "imploded"...the members broadcasting page still locks up...and everytime I try to fire up the beta...it does not load the beta...it loads the same old same old with the "fix it" button...which I do like...there are so many variables to consider in this equation...audio...window size being used by the viewers...as for me...broadcasting with audio is a breeze...I can broadcast for hours on end...because for the most part I have no viewers to speak of...other than my usual "perv of the weeks" types who promptly get banned...and as magna pointed out having to go to the blocked members page and clicking every one of those damn boxes is not very user friendly...I do a lot of flash web broadcasting for and with my friends on other sites and have thousands of viewers ...never have half of the problems you folks have here...cam icons disappearing...numbers of members broadcasting not jibing with our lists in the IMC windows...folks dropping off completely while still broadcasting...that little notification in the upper left corner of our window...make that script larger and like safety yellow...folks can't see it as it is in black...

As I am NEVER naked on cam (and yes folks, there ARE people on here NOT naked), I do get comments on it, and most are not too bad, but some are so hideous it turns my stomach. I am not sure when I will check this out, but we shall see.

One more thing...some how the cam ratings have disappeared also...not that anyone has ever been able to get a "five star rating" or anything...

As of 10:40AM PDT tried firing up the "beta" go same old same old for my IMC however when I open a cam I'm getting a new window which is almost identical to the one on GIO with a report abuse and oddly a "reconnect" button which I thought we didn't need anymore because the new software is so spiffy...cam and audio quality not quite what was on the old system...no offering of any kind of "group chat" that was mentioned...if we could possibly broadcast privately to a group of invited folks...methinks abuses would go down accordingly...just a thought or two...

And now you have back to the stupid upside down bloody cam window, you all could not leave it how you said you made it, you had yo "make it better"....it failed....

been trying the new IMC tonight, huge difference, seems more stable, not fussy on the new layout, do like the letters instead of icons for male female etc, plzz bring back the page sound got use to hearing the "buh-bling" but over all i think u guys might be on to something. just needs a few things fixed
