Each of these monthly releases contains fixes to bugs, any new tweaks or features, and a bunch of back-end site performance improvements. This February we using our monthly release to focus on bugs you want fixed. I want to make sure I'm paying attention to all the issues you guys are having. All bloggers, group members and mods, broadcasters, chat room junkies and advice line warriors should add their feedback. Please add your bugs in the comments. What are bugs? Stuff that doesn't work like it should. Here are a few examples: * If you look at your Blog post in Title view, clicking on any of your blog posts takes you to a blank white page. * Members handles getting stuck in the chat room even after they have left. * Sometimes when you set custom colors on your blog or group, they don't show up correctly after saving. * The Live Member Webcams home page stopped refreshing a few weeks ago. * When you respond to a comment on your own blog, it counts as "New." What are not bugs? * Changes in policy - Like allowing allowing people to post pics of their motorcycle or pets. * Adjusting Current Functionality - Like dropping the voting in advice lines. * New Stuff and Suggestions - Like having a sound when you get a new page, so that you don't miss it even if you aren't looking.  250 Point BONUS! All new January members have a start year of 1910. Active Male Blogs (by unique responses) on the main blog page still show a duplicate of the Active Blogs (by unique responses) "Where I'm Quoted" feature is still incomplete when quoted by a silver or gold member. Handles sticking in group chat rooms for days after they leave. Chat rooms "cannot find server" interrupting chat activity every few minutes. More than 20 profile pics showing on member profiles. No, I'm not including album pics in the count. Members losing points erroneously due to "featured member" feature when not requested. Flowers being sent with auto-replies. Even if no points are being deducted, it still shouldn't do this.

Ok, I re-posted your post in my blog... Now here are some issues I see... 1. There is an overlap of the profile when you mouse over a video. This overlap obscures some of the video thumb nail...Knit picking, but it's a bug. 2. I suspect you are using a SQL server for feeding the public cam page. The public cam page HTML is not reading properly and the videos are way down the page at times. I suspect the tags are not closed or there is a page sizing issue. 2a. The size of the window for the streaming public cams is not always correct. 2b. You can't make contact with a person on cam when the window is full sized. 3. The system slows at times making it impossible to even log on. 4. There has been a rash of broken links that send you to a page not available page when you click on them. 5. Sometimes you can and sometimes you can't leave remarks about a pic. on a users profile. If it's just bugs you want, then let me know when you are taking suggestions about the programming language you are using...PHP...hint hint...

If you look at your Blog post in Title view, clicking on any of your blog posts takes you to a blank white page. The most watched male blogs are almost always women's blogs on the list. Sometimes, but not often, my blog home page becomes a full screen background with wide blog margins, instead of the typical narrower set up. Can't edit video titles & descriptions once it is posted. Pages with numerous bling images are not loading completely to show every bling. They use to all load fine but now you get boxes with big Xs in them. And, I wish I could see a member's age and location under their profile pic when they comment on my blog! THANKS FOR LISTENING! Fondly, Charlie's ex

Members broadcasting page does not refresh since the addition of the Cams.com live cam in rotation...it's extremely annoying and will cause folks to stop broadcasting here...New profile view missing info as to being on IMC or broadcasting cam...would really like to see it as others see it...as in the "Classic view" just grey out email and the like...getting tons more "page cannot be found/server has dropped connection" screens for all pages on site...inability to delete photos since the last update...Friends not showing up on the IMC list since forever it seems...

Title view links in blogs are still not working. Some silver and gold members reported not being able to view images in group posts. They should be able to see all images anywhere on site. Not sure if this is a bug since as long as I can remember, it's never worked there, but why can't it? Adding links to a network friend bulletin does not provide an active hyperlink. Maybe it got broke a long time ago and no one ever paid any attention to it.

Okey dokey.. I've added a post to my blog. See below for your requested information. NOW The bug that I have which drives me crazy is the CONSTANT and annoying requests for my auto-renew to be turned ON. Can you guys do something about that? I could understand if I were about to expire on membership and maybe you thought I forgot that it was off, but I JUST RENEWED. Why do I have to see those REALLY TASTELESS AND UNFLATTERING women on your 'requests' about every time I log in? It just makes me more determined NOT to turn the damn thing on to be frank. I'd just like to know what's the problem? I renewed. I have 6 MONTHS. Leave me alone already. And one more little teensy thing: DO your programmers or whoever greases the wheels around here HAVE to do their work during the day on Sunday? The site runs horribly on Sunday, many bloggers have complained about that. Can't the behind-the-scenes folk do their upgrades or maintenance or whatever during some non-peak blog time? Concerning the IMC...Cam and Microphone icons disappearing from both the listing in IMC and Members Broadcasting page...IMC lists do not jibe with Members Broadcasting lists...i.e.: They show on your IMC list and not Members Broadcasting page. This has been going on for at least six months or more...

Flash chat won't load for our account before it times out. It will load under the exact same hardware/software circumstances for another account, so it's obviously an account problem on your end. I suspect it may be an issue with the size of the Ignore list, but that's purely speculation based on the fact that we have added about 2/3 of Latin America to ours.

attached picture was taken at 7:23 am, 1/7/10 which clearly show my blog number as 190... my blog shows up about 180 range in "active blogs" section only briefly, and next time when the page is refreshed, it will go down 130 range... why number drops so quickly in a few minutes??? this has been going on a few weeks now...

when i cam, the number of viewers in IMC doesn't match the number in "live webcam" list... now when i do cam, i use html version of IMC with FireFox browser...i clear cache, and make sure my filter is set to cover all the categories, with age 18 to 99...

I have 20 photos in my photo album. When clicking on the photo options of Delete, Rename, Move photo using I.E. 8 causes the page to seem as frozen. This only occurs after the first 3 rows of photo's on the page. Reason is that the pop-up confirmation for Moving, Renaming or Deleting a photo is set to appear at the center top above all the photos in the browser. My display settings are set as resolution 1280x1024. Suggestion would be to setting the pop-up confirmation box to be either position beside a photo or in the center of the screen. Not at the top. On a side note...the old photo options was 100% better without the bell and whistle of drag and dropping.

There seems to be a lot of want for the bugs to be fixed. It's in the best interest of the site as a whole.

1) IMC does not show my Network Friends when they are on. 2) When broadcasting on IMC, my broadcast times out & I have no idea when it times out. (Still looks like I'm broadcasting on my end.) 3) While on IMC, the people watching my broadcast 'hang" in there, even though they are not watching it (cause often, I've been disconnected from broadcasting.) 4) On IMC, my pages do not get to the person I'm trying to page (I'd say 75  of the time & I have no way of knowing if they are getting through or not, unless I sign in to a duplicate account & page myself.5) On IMC, the ignore feature doesn't "stick" or "work" for an entire session. (I can understand if it is set to only last for the duration of the IMC session or log on to the site, but sometimes, it doesn't last 5 minutes??!!) 6) Lately the IMC is not populating the list of people online when it refreshes every 2 minutes and seems to sit there empty. 7) With regard to the message center (classic,) when I delete an unread message, the "inbox" notification still shows as having unread messages.  With regard to the message center (classic,) when I delete an unread message, sometimes it remains in the inbox & I have to delete it 2 to 4 times before it actually goes away.9) Don't know if it's a bug or intentional, but a lot of the photos in the "new profile view" can not be seen in a larger size (I'm Gold.) 10) Notification bar shows me what people 8,000 miles away are doing, even though my cupid settings (and notification bar settings) were restricted to only a few miles from me. 11) People (females & couples in my observation) show up as "online now" and they are not. I have contacted several of them & 90% of the time they are not "online now" though their profile shows that they are & they show up in the (changing) list of "see my online matches." Probably intentional, but I think it's a bug & deceitful as well. 12) (Suggestion: can we have an easier way to get to access the block member list? ...maybe a user control / preferences button on the menu bar.

13) The profiles / pictures / people appearing in the "See My Online Matches" on the home pages freezes up & won't cycle after a while. Same pictures stay on there till you manually refresh your browser (IE 6 & Firefox 3)

My quick response does not work in my mail. I can't access my own articles from the main magazine page. I can't access my friends network period. My magazine trophy has been taken away from some reason. And being a silver member when I want to respond (not quote) to someone on one of my articles none of the features work in the little box except fro the smiling faces. Color or size does not work. And I have the latest browser by Firefox! So it's not that. I'll be waiting on my 250 points. ~  ~

I can't really say I've ever had much trouble just the usual whatever isn't working today. Some of the new stuff I don't care for. Like the way I view my profile now. How I can't see who gave me kudos anymore. Someone said to go to classic view and you could see it and so I did and the page wouldn't open and believe me I waited long enough. Thanks though....appreciate it.

First off, I want to thank the site for fixing some of my pet peeve bugs! I went to check out some of the old ones that I was going to add to my list, and I see they've been fixed! Yay!  Here's a list of some others: 1. Title View in blogs takes you to a blank page, rather than your blog entry 2. Frequent "white outs" in the Interest Group chat rooms, where the entire conversation disappears, until you post something 3. As of early Jan. 2010, incorrect polls were still appearing in interest groups (haven't seen this in a couple of days though) 4. The text [endif] appears in the Group Members list in interest groups, at the upper R.H. side of every member's information 5. The first line of text in the initial post of an interest group thread cannot be centered properly 6. The first line of text in the initial post of an interest group thread never extends the full width of the line (it's always cut off) 7. Local groups are still showing up in place of topical interest groups on the "Browse Groups by Topic" search 8. Can't insert bling into email from Page 2 onward of the bling manager, using the toolbar icon in email 9. The second and subsequent paragraph in interest group responses are incorrectly indented 10. Signatures show up on a hit-and-miss basis, in interest group posts 11. Names get randomly stuck in the interest group chat rooms for days 12. Clicking on "View Recent and Active" posts and polls in interest groups sometimes gives you no results and sometimes gives you some results, but it never gives you the complete history of a group's posts and polls anymore 13. The "Search" function in interest groups only works when the "View Recent and Active" archive is working, which is rarely

I've just posted a copy of your post on my blog. The most annoying bug for me would be or rather is the fact that most or at least many of my comments on other blogs (it might happen on my own too but I don´t know) seem to be delayed. I.e. while I can see them directly after posting in most cases the owners of those blogs might not see them for days at which point they won't show up as the latest comments. Some times my comments show up directly but they get delayed so often that it has rather become the norm for me to expect them to be delayed. I have talked with customer service about this several times yet nothing changes. This also affects my blog-posts and most usually those posts that I write show up on the next day for everyone else but me as I can see them directly. During weekends though all the posts (and often comments too) that I make on friday, saturday and sunday, sometimes even those made late on thursday, don't show up until monday evening. As stated I can see them but no others seem to be able to. While this varies with comments it's constant when it comes to my blog posts. It used to happen to my group postings too but it has been a while since I last visited a group. Another bug I've been struck by from time to time has it's own code even which is bug #58383. Whenever I've contacted customer service about it, i.e. when one of my comments or posts have been hit by that banned_topic-sign, that's usually all I've gotten. I think I might even have some several months old post that's still being blocked by banned_topic despite me re-posting it again and again. I hope this helps you get things sorted. 1. (this one may be fixed now) font colors in chat rooms have been sporadically broken during the past month 2. Related to #1, there are appear to be some browser interoperability issues. I recommend testing with Firefox, Opera, Safari, possibly Camino, and regrettably, IE -- which nobody should be using but unfortunately many hapless users are. This shouldn't be too onerous: a handful of latops running XP, MacOS and Linux should suffice. 3. Paging appears to be broken: out-of-band conversations with other users indicate that they did in fact try to answer pages but those responses were never received. I suspect that efforts to provide this functionality inside Flash are bumping up against incompatibilities in the many versions of Flash out there. 4. There are sporadic problems with home page layout, in particular the 10 (2 rows of 5) pictures at center top corresponding to possible "online matches" are often scattered into 3 or 4 rows, some with one picture each. I'm guessing this is an HTML table botch. 5. Geolocation appears to be broken in some contexts (including "show my online matches"). I live near one of the borders of my state, so members in the adjoining state are closer to me than members in the nearest major city in my state. Yet -- some of the the time -- searches don't return any of them. I suggest debugging this by picking a major city near a state border (e.g. St. Louis, Philadelphia, Kansas City) and see if searches return members from adjoining states (IL, NJ, KS). 6. Similarly, some of the "filter this list based on your cupid preferences" criteria on the "show online matches" page seem to be broken -- but not consistently. Checking some of the boxes reduces the output list to zero size -- even though there are members visible right then who match the criteria. I suspect both 5 and 6 have to do with underlying search issues and that these are two manifestations of the same problem(s). 7. Some of the time -- unfortunately not all of the time -- attempts to preview a mail message that's being composed trip the Firefox extension NoScript's detection of possible cross-site scripting. I think this is probably just a minor HTML bug, but it would be good to chase it down given how popular NoScript is getting. 8. The refresh function in chat rooms often stops working. It's necessary to reload the page (thus re-entering the room) to make it start working again. 9. Anyone switching from HTML chat to Flash chat has their last several comments spewed into the room. 10. HTML chat scrolls down, not up. Yes, this really is a bug: it's contrary to the way human beings read. 11. It appears that when a photo is selected for "add to favorites" that what's saved is a pointer to the photo in the profile or gallery of the member who's posted it. If the member shuffles their photos, then the pointer now points to another one (or none). I think that the backing DB needs to track this and update all the pointers to a photo when it's moved so that there's referential integrity. Same for videos. 12. There does not appear to be a way to hide/unhide an entire blog. It looks like the functionality is there, and intended, because it works per-post, but not per-blog.

Sorry, noticed another couple of bugs related to hotlist management today. 1. I sorted my hotlist by "last visit date", which has the effect of placing everyone who's deleted or turned off their profile at the end. Checking all of the boxes for those and selecting "delete checked" took two tries to (apparently) work, and then -- instead of refreshing to the previous page of hotlist entries -- produced a message saying that I'd "filtered all of my hotlist entries". But I wasn't filtering at all: just deleting. 2. Deleting a single hotlist entry in the middle of a page doesn't seem to work. I've "deleted" one several times and it's still there.

What really "ticks" me off is when my profile shows me as being ONLINE when I'm NOT and also when it shows my friends as being online when they say they aren't. It makes everyone look like liars and causes unfair accusations to start flying.

i understand that we are only allowed to join a certain number of groups, we are fine with that, but when the moderator disables the group it should enable us to join more, we shouldn't have to contact support and put a post in for them to remove us from this group or that one that has been disabled,, grrr,, that so bugs us!! Wow what I great idea folks. I have had really good service from the email contact with AsianMatchMate.com. That is until the bug in IM. So, along with a couple of other things. I leave this list: 1) none of my friends show up on the "friends" tab in IM. I will be scrolling through and, low and behold, there are some friend there but not listed on the tab 2) sometimes people see my IMs and sometimes not. Someone will page me and I answer and they are basically saying "hello, hello, anybody there. I am answering and the dont see my msgs. I think the same is happening in reverse as well. 3) new profile page does not have a tab at the top to link to profile. Have to go back to member home page to link to your own profile. 4) On the profile page, one used to be able to click on your own kudo number and be taken directly to your latest kudo contributors. Now one has to click on the general kudo list, scroll down to your own profile, click the number. Not the end of the world, but wondering why that was changed. 5) New friends do not show up on friends list for hours after accepting. Sometimes a day or so. The number of friends changes, but their information is not there. 6) Cams that are working still will say member no longer broadcasting on a black screen. But the chat etc does not reflect that is true. The regular no longer broadcasting screen is accurate. 7) Initial contact with help (even gold email contact with help) is initially answered by a bot. Standard, canned response that seems to be meant to parse the msg, ask a bunch of "is the computer plugged in" questions and then ask for your life history. I do understand the need for a response of some kind, but usually the parsing is way off, the questions are not answered and it just annoys the person contacting help. When someone contacts they are usually frustrated with a glitch to start with so a auto placeholder response just pisses them off more. I will say that once a real person gets on the keyboard I've had pretty good luck with solving the problems. I know this is marketing, but turn off the damn do-you-want-to-miss-the-fun pop up for turning on autorenew. It started the day after I renewed my gold. Annoying as hell when you just paid!9) This is not a bug, but I want to mention the observation that I have seen people booted for the most lame reasons, with no warning, while camgirls hawk their websites and begging for food money, Ghana scams run rampant, and Y girls advertise their sites on cam. Now, I DO understand the idea about advertising, harassment, etc., but I think some common sense and some checking might solve some problems. I know of several instances where a person was booted off on the word of the REAL offender. Someone gets blocked so they report abuse to AsianMatchMate.com. Pretty hard to do, but the quick reaction to a complaint might be the wrong reaction. Just a thought. and NO I am not going to turn on autorenew........ Thanks for the forum - and the interest.

This glitch appeared to be fixed a few days ago, but I see that it isn't. 15. For a period of several hours after a poll in an interest group is approved and posted, anyone who tries to vote on it gets taken to "Blogs > > El hombre pajuelo > Member Deleted Post."

What a friend of mine called the "sticky 1". You see the number next to the mailbox on the top menu bar. You go into mail, read your new message, but the number persists on the menu bar even as you go off to other parts of the site. Impossible to know if you really do have new mail or if it's just the old notification that won't clear.

I forgot about this one. The toolbar does not function properly when writing a group response. I reported this one to SS a long time ago and they were able to duplicate it so they said they would create a bug for it. I just tried using it and several functions would not work. If they did fix it at some point, it got un-fixed.

I believe this is the correct place to post our bugs? Hope so. 1 - It is very frustrating to not be able to delete or modify your own pictures. When I go to add new pictures, I want to be able to delete the older ones! If I can't do that, I won't add new ones. It's kind of embarrassing to have a main pic posted for MONTHS that says 'Just took this pic today' and be powerless to change the annotation. 2 - Since when can I not view my own kudos? That is crazy-osity. I have many more but will keep it short for now. Thanks guys  In a full heart there is room for everything. In an empty heart there is room for nothing.

In Internet Explorer 7, when I look at who's viewed me in the last 30 days, and sort by distance, I get the following results: (by miles) Page 1: 2,10,12,18,32,...,363,602,800,1048 Page 2: 32,43,47,96,153,160,...,795,922,2260 Each page is sorted in order, but it seems as if the first entry on the second page would be greater than the last entry on the first page.

i am having a problem inserting a picture in comment in blogs...the test shows but no pic show up...then, i have deleted the comment in effort to make a new comment with pic...then, the comment magically double up... are you aware of this problem of no pic show up in the comment section in blog? is there fix for this?

This Community Guy does good work. He is Anne-Sullivan-Miracle-Worker good. I have been whining to Customer Service for over two months about a problem that many of you have also. Friends don' show up on the IM "friends" tab. Well now, I signed in a bit ago and launched IM. Lo and Behold!! My tab shuddered and numbers appeared. I clicked on the tab and it listed the friends on line! Hot damn Community. AND Since the new profile format went up, the number next to kudos started working as a link as it did before. Had to go get a double Oban Scotch and chase it with a Twisted Thistle to settle my nerves - two for one bug death! It appears that I do not have to unleash my verbal abuser, Yuri Li Pzmyov, who takes care of my light work. Behold and be glad! Nice to see the response - Good on ya Community.

Ok...if the update did finally roll out...did not address the Groups Description problem...and posts are not showing up for Groups...now Photo Albums are missing pictures in the preview window...the cams time out even faster...1st going to Private...then the Black Screen of Death...when trying to see if you are indeed broadcasting...if you type your handle into your search window you don't show up...only way to check for sure is to view your own profile in the "Classic View"...Because there are still no indicators on the New Profile View...I'd love to see the brighter side to this...but it's rather dark over here...

Not so much a bug as a suggestion. When looking at the preview of a profile, there are options to Flirt, Email, Hotlist and Invite as a Friend. It may be useful, in your efforts to police the membership of this site, to add some kind of a 'Flag' button, that alerts the webmaster that there is something about this profile that doesn't ring true. You have the 'Report as abuse' link in the blog posts, maybe something like that will work. This doesn't mean that the profile should immediately be deleted, but only that an administrator should take a closer look at it to see if it is on the level. Examples: A picture of an anorexic girl with the text referring to herself as a BBW. (This may be valid, but a bell goes off in my head when I see this.) A picture of a very pale woman who describes herself as black. (Again, it may be valid, but...) A picture of a woman who's text describes herself as being 20-30 years older/younger than she appears. It seems as if the spammers have gotten around your security, and are creating profiles with random text stolen from someplace, and populating them with random pictures stolen from someplace else. In any event, something to consider for the next release. On the same note, at the risk of telling you something you already know, the number I see right below me (to reduce abuse) can easily be read by most OCR programs.

Ok so the Group fixes (INST-619) apparently been rolled on out; however, seems to have caused other issue within the Groups. I have tested to see if changing a group description would stick after editing it and clicking on update. It seems that has been fixed; however, it seems a new bug has been created by doing so. It adds the associate moderator name again in its field. For example: I have my profile handle listed as an associate moderator of a group I use for testings since I do not want try do an update on an active group I am Mod over until I am certain a bugs effecting the group has been fixed. After updating the group description and settings in my testing group that has my handle listed as the associate moderator as well the associate moderator handle becomes added again in a continuous format in the field on its own. Example: The associate moderator handle should display as MyHeartLost4U, but after updating it appears on the group page as this MyHeartLost4UMyHeart. This happens without any human intervention of editing the associate moderator field after clicking on update. Consequently, this bug can\will\would cause an Associate moderator(s) of a group(s) to not having access to their tools over a group with banning or deleting postings for reason that they will not be listed correctly as an associate moderator; in addition, the associate moderator handle formatted in duplicate in the field is a non existing profile. Another Bug created during this recent update to Groups. Group member(s) new topic postings are not showing up in a timely manner as before and been stuck in limbo now for over 12 hours since the roll out of the Group fixes without any update of new topic postings appearing in the groups. Normally new topic postings by members appear in the group within a 5-30 minute time frame after submission. The Groups main home page listings of "Recent Discussions" has also been stuck now since 1/22 to 1/23 without any updating for over 12 hours as well.

Hmmmm.... a backlog? I do not trust everything that is written by SS with their explanations to bugs; especially with saying the issue is a "backlog". The issue is more than likely within the parsing of the db programming structure. A backlog is an accumulation and not the cause.

Hi! Don't know if it is a site problem, but, suspect it is because it happens nowhere else but in chat rooms?? When enter text to chat, the site cannot keep up with how fast you type and either misses letters or runs words together?? Don't know how else to describe it? Have mentioned this to others and some do experience this amd others do not?? Soetimes it is so bad, you have to almost do one finger typing to get your message on screen???? Have typed as fast as I can here and have not had an issue? If I try this in chat room, words are missing letters, or jammed together. Looks bad!!!

I know I will sound like an asshole for even saying this, but why is it when one thing is fixed / updated / introduced, it seems like 3 to 5 other things are broken?? (Just look at the latest "bug fixes." Does anyone ever test anything before release? I'm with WD40W: this site needs beta testers in a bad way. could be in the six pages of bug comments but - In blogs, will not allow you to replace a sticky with another post. Just says that I have deleted post - post is there, I haven't deleted and the original will come back, but not the replacement. In blogs, updated material to intro section shows up after save, but if you go to edit again, all new material is gone from input window.. page 2 bling posting seems to be working now - thanks title view still blank white screen

I was finding the same thing today in a chat room - there was what appeared to be a bot spamming for a website - and no way to ignore the bot. They didn't show up on the members list for that chat room, and attempting to go to their profile gave a dead link. most annoying. and still no sound - though some people's seem to be working, mine wasn't. The mvd1 account is different. He appears in the room's roster. You can choose him and click Ignore but it has no effect whatsoever. He's one of the all-caps Spanish writers, so it's a huge pain.

Live Webcam Page: When I load the Live Webcam page from the home page it shows the link to Women has been selected in the link bar at the top, eventhough it shows the webcams for All as I scroll down. Clicking another webcam category from the link bar, and then clicking the Women link corrects the issue.

Its annoying to look at just couples in the webcams available and have 8 pages of couples included. Or going to look at couples only and find singles intermingled

Bug: Setup: Have a profile with one testimonial. Repro: Go to page: Friends Network Main - testimonial appears on bottom left with three options. Two of which are Hide and Delete (I don't remember the third). Select: Hide Result: Testimonial is deleted. There is no way to "unhide" it, which is what you expect.

I posted this bug in the "you can now post 200 photos on your profile" post and got no reply for months so I'm trying here. Not sure if anyone else has the same problem but I have 8 photos and every time I try to add more it deletes some of what I have to make room for the new ones keeping the total number at 8 always. What's up with that? Freedom Live. Laugh. Love.

I've definately got something wrong everytime I try to view a profile or look at a cam it acts like I'm not logged in been happeninng for two days that doesn't make me happy when I'm paying to use the site.
