True but don't confuse lack of fear with ignorance

I can understand your reaction and I probably would have done the same thing given these circumstances. My only worry would be that SOB turning around and pressing charges against you. And knowing how fucked up the legal system is, he could make it stick. AB No Bozos

In defense of a third person while the agresser was agressing. Nope, No charges. HP Matt report would take care of that if he writes his reports like he spoke to you. Where is your compassion? I believe it is in your heart. The SOB dont need compasion, even inmates have a pecking order and a women beater is just above a child molester. I hope I get a nurse like you when I visit the ER. I visit all the time as a cop but if I am on a stretcher I hope you are there. Please hold my hand like a baby. I seen nurses provide this extra level of care, that shows their heart. You don't hear stories like these on TV. Ya'll are my heros and by the way, I consider ER Nurses untouchables. Meaning, I believe a verbal warning would get the same compliance from them as a written citation would. BlueCollarTxn GOD Bless TEXAS!

I just hope she's strong enough emotionally to press charges against the bastard and doesn't take him back. Way too many abused women once the pain of their physical wounds wanes, take back the men who are trying to kill them. What you did was the right thing. You were protecting your patient from someone who tried to kill her. If he was dumb enough to try to press assault charges against you, the charges wouldn't get far. He was the one led out in handcuffs, drive to the hospital drunk, almost murdered his wife, etc. Who would a jury believe?
