Too Much Information? What Should You Hide?
Too Much Information? What Should You Hide? I was brought up with the motto that 'words are given to us to clothe our thoughts'. Everybody knows that a woman doesn't say to a man she's just met that she wants to marry him. Yet that is what Zsa Zsa Gaabor said to Hilton. And Camilla told Prince Charles she wanted to be his mistress and she ended up marrying him. Despite the fact that he married a virgin bride, younger than Camilla, and one of the most popular women in the world. Words can also be used for humorous effect. What can you get away with saying? What should you hide? Is there such a thing as refreshing honesty? Some men like the thrill of the chase. Others say they don't want head games. Does it mean matching your approach to the other person? Or being who you are and letting your match find you? If so, why do so many marry the wrong person? It's not just the story of whining country and western songs, about the devoted young man abandoned by the poor young girl marrying the rich old man. Plenty of examples from real life modern times. To take only one: Prince Charles and Diana. Should I be silent and mysterious? Or tell the world what I think, even though I'm hiding behind my fan on the anonymity of this site? What do you think? |

Somebody wrote a best-selling book on this. In fact more than one author, more than one book. We know how we are programmed, men and women differently. The trick is to predict how the other person might react. Or to catch yourself when over-reacting. My get-out is humour.
