Karma? Karma may have come back and bit me in the butt! I think I am being paid back for being too gleeful in my successful mouse hunting adventures.  How, you ask? C'mon, you know you were dying to ask how Karma bit purp's butt.  I am sick as a dog. No, wait - SICKER!    In fact, if I were an animal I am pretty sure I would be put down. Did you know you can get the flu despite getting a flu shot WAY back in September?!  Yup, apparently it can be done. Of course now it is the weekend and I don't see the doctor till Monday........this is what I have been fighting since Thanksgiving. I can't even keep water down. See, Karma for making those poor lil mousies suffer.  Pull My Fucking Hair!  |

I hear ya.......and a smart lady as well as a nurse. Probably TMI, but no hydration in the colon either. She guesed that right as I got 5 tubes of blood drawn and they also wanted "sample" LOL waiting for results. In the meantime the doctor prescribed me Zofran to help with nausea and vomiting - now if only I dare take it due to HORRIBLE sounding possible side effects. I did keep down a frozen coke today. Awww I hope u feel better. Its BS to get a shot & still get the flu! I thought I had the flu about 6 wks ago & I'm still getting over the congestion but I just had a physical since its been forever & I'm getting older & want to make sure nothing is going on that I'm not aware of & the doc asked if I wanted the flu shot & i said i had the flu so probably don't need it & he said it probably was a cold cuz there were no known flu cases in this area yet it sure felt more than a cold to me. So I agreed to get the shot blah plus a tetanus shot too cuz i guess 23 years is too far in between. But enough anout me- You get better soon!!!!!Pull My Fucking Hair!

I know a few who's told me they get sick after the flu jab, even though they were fine before they had it. Thankfully I can tolerate it and it hasn't done me any harm, unlike poor you. Please get beter soon Thanks for the well wishes. Pull My Fucking Hair!

I get sicker from the shot than I do from the flu so I avoid the shots. They make a guess before the beginning of the flu season as to which viruses they thing will be around. It is only a guess. So you "probably" got a virus that they weren't expecting. It is kind of like Obama's economic plan. They claim they prevented you from getting the flu from the other sources but there is no way to prove it. get well soon, you can't miss out on the cookies Heck no, it would just be wrong if I missed out on Christmas cookies AND Thanksgiving turkey. aw, I'm sorry, as if you don't have enough to contend with already, now the flu. My heart goes out to you. When I read the flu shot offered only a 50% chance at prevention for my age group, I passed. I understand though why your doctor probably recommended it for you. Mine always tries to convince me to get one because I only have one kidney but, knock on wood, I haven't gotten the flu yet. i do believe in Karma...i would worry more about the angry mice coming back and chewing on your internet wire and giving you no computer access the CDC guesses, when they do the flu vacine, what strain will prevail sometimes they get it wrong they did a few years back the strain that came out wasnt the one they anticipated in the flu vacine Yeah, this is only my second flu shot.......and maybe my last with this less than stellar result. I saw the doctor today and got a script for Zofran which is supposed to help with the nausea and vomiting. This is only my second flu shot ever.....and it's making it highly unlikely that I will get one next year.
