A gift...

Her smile is like a sunrise on a perfect summer day,
the flow in her hair; always blowing the right way,
that look in her eyes when she says it's time to play,
and the rasp in her voice as she simply makes me obey,

She's a gift to me you see,
the very best one of all,
feeling as lucky as lucky can be,
sure hope I don't fall...

Her skin so soft and her mind so sharp,
being better together; nothing to tear us apart,
to reach right in and really take a hold of her heart,
neither one expecting forever coming right from the start...

She's a gift to me you see,
it's just the way I feel,
petrified like a tree,
to allow one my heart to steal...

Laying there next to her; there's nothing I want more,
I've thought about it many days, of this I am so sure,
I'd fight and die for her to end this lonely war,
a gift of love that took it's shot and knocked me onto the floor...
